The Mudgee Chamber of Commerce has been selected as a finalist in the Local Chamber of Commerce of the Year Award.
Chamber member Joe Adendorff from The Lodge is a finalist in two categories: the Young Entrepreneur Award and Excellence in Small Business category.
Sharon Winsor of Indigiearth is also a finalist in two categories: Business Leader Award and Excellence in Small Business category.
“Not only are we thrilled to have the Chamber as a finalist in these prestigious awards, but also to have our members exhibit such a high standard of excellence and figure so prominently in the awards is doubly exciting”, Mudgee Chamber of Commerce president Leonie Cridland said.
“The Mudgee Chamber of Commerce has been working hard to support local businesses, addressing their training and information needs as well as exposing them to new business opportunities.
“We really want our members to succeed and develop strong and sustainable businesses”, Ms Cridland said.
“By providing a whole range of networking opportunities, by focusing on building co-operative relationships and a strong infrastructure, we encourage our members to be continually open to different ways of thinking and doing business”.
Ms Cridland said this dynamic approach has led to the Mudgee Chamber of Commerce being named as a finalist in the Local Chamber of Commerce of the Year Award.
“Congratulations have to go to the volunteer Chamber committee who have worked tirelessly to grow the old Mudgee Business Association into a strong, more responsive and innovative structure,” Ms Cridland said.
“Teaming a strong organization with our inspiring membership base and new initiatives such as the upcoming Mudgee Business Expo, there is clearly a bright and exciting future ahead for both the Mudgee Chamber of Commerce and Mudgee business generally”.
The winners of each of the Central West Business Awards categories will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Friday, June 21, at the Heritage Highland Estate, Orange.
Tickets for the Central West Business Awards Gala Dinner are available from www.businessannualawards.com.au.
“We wish our members every success on June 21”, Ms Cridland said. “We are confident both The Lodge and Indigiearth will be fantastic representatives of the Mudgee business community.”
Category winners will proceed as finalists to the NSW Business Chamber State Awards, with the State winners to be announced on November 29 in Sydney.
