Expressions of interest wanted
Rylstone District Care & Transport is seeking Expressions of Interest in providing cleaning services to four vehicles which are currently located in Rylstone. In addition, they are also seeking a vacant or spare garage in Rylstone to house one of their vehicles. The garage would have to be available seven days a week. Knit-In on again at Library
The “Wrap with Love Knit-In” is on again in the warmth of the Kandos Library this Friday, August 8 from 9.30am to 1pm. Come along and join the friendly group for a morning of enjoyable creating. Bring any completed squares and your crafting tools to make squares or sew up a wrap. If you don’t have needles, crochet hooks or wool, some will be provided.
It’s also on the following day, Saturday August 9 at the Rylstone Artisan and Producer Markets from 9.30am to 1pm where you can wander the markets as you knit or sit and natter while making knitted or crocheted squares. For more information, contact Jo Williams on 6379 0990.
Artisans and Producers Markets
The Rylstone Artisans and Producers Markets are on again this Saturday, August 9 from 9am to 1.30pm with the Fathers’ Day Special markets at Rylstone Memorial Hall. It’s the last market before Fathers’ Day where you can find a gift for dad. Check out the special car photos, cards, leather belts, hot chutneys, minerals, clothing, pottery and much more.
Waratahs League Club reunion
A reminder that the Kandos District Waratahs Rugby League Club will hold a grand reunion gala day on its last premiership home game of the season when they play Wallerawang this Saturday, August 9. It will include the commemoration and acclamation of all of the former rugby league clubs and players, the presentation of ex-players and group photograph, the first public showing of their rugby league history book (in an unfinished form) and pre-ordering opportunity.

Ceramics studio open to all
As part of an Australia-wide celebration of ceramics, Debbie Stone’s studio and bush garden will be open to all on August 16 and 17. Come and enjoy unusual hand-crafted work, country hospitality and clay adventures. Local artist Annabel Garrad from the Capertee Valley will also be there. Rylstone Historical Society AGM
Rylstone and District Historical Society Inc. will hold their Annual General Meeting at 5.30pm on Thursday, August 21 in the Bridge View Inn. It will be followed by a General Meeting and a Soup Supper. Renewing and new member membership fees are now due and must be paid prior to the meeting. Daffodil Day stalls to be held
Daffodil Day stalls will be held at the Community Charity Shop in Kandos and also outside Rylstone Ag Supplies in Rylstone on Friday, August 22. Call in and support this worthy cause. If anyone has fresh daffodils they can donate on the day it would be much appreciated.
Bush Croquet Day
The Lue Action Group are holding a Bush Croquet Day on Sunday, August 24 to raise funds for the group. It’ll be a fun day for the whole family. Everyone will meet at the Lue Community hall at 10am before heading off to the nearby course. Bring along a picnic lunch and a chair. Barbecue facilities will be available if needed. All welcome.

Kandos Rylstone Community Radio (KRR 98.7FM) will hold its AGM on Wednesday, August 27 at the studio meeting room 50 Angus Avenue, Kandos at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome.
