Mudgee and Gulgong Health Services manager Judith Ford said that this was an “acknowledgement and thanks” for their years of service.
“We’re here today to congratulate a number of people for their long time service not only in NSW Health but working within our Local Health District (LHD) as well,” she said.
“This procedure with the certificate and badge is something that the LHD does deliberately for those they know have worked for 30 years or more.
“We just want to say thanks to all of you for the great effort for so long, we’re really proud of you.”
Shirley Malone, although unable to collect her certificate on the day was recognised for 38 years service.
Thursday didn’t quite cover all of the 30-year veterans and more will receive their acknowledgement in the coming weeks.
A set of 20 year recognitions will also be prepared soon.
