From what I can gather, you said the footbridge we have is good enough.
Well, I’d like to ask, have you been across said bridge?
It is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair or someone who is vision impaired.
I would also like to ask, if you were to wear a pair of very foggy glasses and try to walk safely down to the bridge and up to the other side, how would you handle it?
And as for a wheelchair using it, it’s impossible.
I don’t know if a member of your family or any of your friends were in either of these positions, and they had to use this footbridge, if it would have made a difference to your vote.
My husband is vision impaired and if he wants to visit our son, who lives on the other side of the river, it is not safe for him.
Don’t even think about using it at night.
Very disappointed.
