Mudgee LAC Police are investigating a suspicious fire in a vacant premise in Mayne Street, Gulgong which occurred during the night of Saturday the 23rd of July, 2016.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang come from the premises around 11.40pm. The witnesses investigated the noise and found the premises engulfed in flames.
Fire and Rescue New South Wales attended and extinguished the fire. No person was injured in the blaze. The building sustained significant damage.
Initial investigations lead Police to believe that the fire may have been deliberately lit.
