The NSW State Government recently announced the Start Strong funding reform package for NSW preschools.
From 2017, the changes will affect how the Mudgee Preschool is funded and outline specific criteria for preschools to achieve the maximum funding available.
“The Board of Mudgee Preschool, in consultation with the Director, Rosie Gibbs, is required to determine how the preschool will respond to these changes, Chairman of the Board Helen Williams said.
“It is important to us that these decisions are made in consultation with our whole preschool community. Our first step in this consultation process is to hold information sessions about the announcement for parents/carers that may be impacted by any changes.
“These sessions are intended to provide preliminary information about the funding changes and will not provide details on how we will be responding as these decisions have not yet been made.”
Short information sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, October 11 at 7pm and Friday, October 14 at 1pm at the Mudgee Preschool, Lovejoy Street campus, corner of Lovejoy and Perry Streets.
