Two Rylstone markets next month: The Rylstone Artisan and Produce Markets will hold two markets in October. The first will run in conjunction with the long weekend this Saturday, October 1 and the second will be on Saturday, October 8.

The markets are held in the grounds of the Rylstone Memorial Hall in Louee Street from 9am until 1pm. Come along and browse the extensive range of quality products the region has to offer. Choose from a selection of beautiful handmade clothing and accessories using wool, alpaca and silk materials, or handcrafted jewellery, ceramics, arts and crafts.
You can also enjoy photography, cards, select, award winning jams and chutneys, delectable sweet treats, olives and oils. There are also aromatic candles, and native plants, fresh produce, and herbs, flower and vegetable seedlings will also be available.

Art group’s exhibition: The Kandos Art Group will hold an exhibition of their work at the Kandos CWA rooms September 30 and October 1. Please call in for a look. The group meets every Tuesday from 11am to 2pm at the CWA rooms in Jacques Street. If you feel creative and enjoy a glass of wine and good company, come along and join them.
Rotary’s Annual Wollemi Awards: Nominations for the Rotary Club’s annual Wollemi Business and Community Awards close September 30.
Categories are: Youth Award, Community Service Award, Business of the Year Award, Community Service Organisation Award and Community Fundraising Organisation Award. The awards will be presented at a presentation dinner in October.

Glen Davis Reunion: The 64th anniversary of the closing of the Glen Davis Shale Oil Refinery will be held October 1, 2 and 3 at Glen Davis.
