RSL won the toss and elected to bat and openers Mark Hundy and Cal Rumming had 22 on the board before the latter was dismissed for 11.
Enter Jared Clulow who would go onto lay the foundations for the huge score, contributing his own 163 not out to the tally.
Hundy would add 45 before being caught by Ben Riley off of the bowling of Nathan James.
Next highest scorer for RSL was Nathan Lane with 58, Mick Camilleri scored 20n.o, and Dave Lane added 11, with nine in sundries.
Last season’s title winners went on to post 316, at the expense of just four wickets.
Coolah’s bowling figures made for tough reading for the visiting side.
Nathan Duce was their most economical, bowling out his 10 overs for 1/26 and he was the only one to collect a maiden for the side.
Nathan James collected two scalps but finished his ten overs having conceded 68 runs, Ben Reilly took the only other wicket - the breakthrough of Rumming - and completed his stint for 66.
While it was a tough slog for Steve Gilbert, bowling a complete 10 overs for 0/72.
Greg Parish, who didn’t get a bat for RSL, began his day dismantling the Coolah innings with the ball taking out Gilbert for 12 when the side had 32 on the board.
Fellow opener Duce would be the visitors’ top scorer with 19 before he became one of Mick Jarvis’ (5/29) victims.
Coolah’s afternoon only got worse from there with only Brett Murrell (15) and Kyle Baldwin (12) hitting double figures, to be all out for 80.
RSL’s had a field day; Nathan Lane (3/8); Mick Camilleri (1/6); Parish (1/7).
