The factory seconds auctions will be held this weekend off the Mitchell Highway and include more than 100 lots.

Burns Auctions director Scott Burns said he was still trying to come to terms with the reaction the upcoming auction had received on Facebook.

“I didn’t think it would go this nuts. It’s the same size as the ones we do in Orange and Bathurst,” Mr Burns said.

“It’s going to be a great day but we’re trying to come to terms with just how many people are going to be at the auction.”

There would be a huge mountain of unreserved goods going under the hammer, Mr Burns said, with the most popular due to be electrical items like TVs and the whitegoods.

For those thinking of Christmas, toys and remote controlled items will also be auctioned, he said.

Burns Auctions have been overseeing the Electrolux site clearance, and Mr Burns said he believed it was one of the reasons the Dubbo auction had gained so much attention, as well as everything being unreserved and the range of electrical items for sale.

The lots can be inspected from 8.30am Sunday, with the auction to begin at 10.30am.
