Applicants can list a maximum of nine preferences, and should put them in the order they would like them to be considered.
Course preferences can also be changed through Check & Change on UAC’s website at uac.edu.au or on the mobile app My UAC.
The Main Round is the most important round for Year 12 applicants. The majority of offers are made in the Main Round with 44,344 offers made in 2016.
Now that Year 12 students have their ATAR, it is important for them to review their course choices and ensure they’re realistic. They can look at last year’s cut-offs, but remember that cut-offs include bonus points.
UAC will release Main Round offers at 6pm on Wednesday 18 January through My UAC and on UAC’s website.
Further first semester offers will be released in February – dates are available on UAC’s website – but UAC advises applicants not to leave it this late to apply or change their preferences as not all institutions will make offers in later rounds and not all courses will still have vacancies for semester 1.
So far 78,939 people have applied for undergraduate study through UAC, compared with 81,311 at the same time last year.
