Rylstone Public School held its presentation night and gala performance a week before Christmas and as usual the Memorial Hall was absolutely packed with family and community members.
During her Principal’s Address Jodee Burcher outlined the major events, programs and achievements at the school during the year and also thanked staff and supporters for their dedication and help.
President of the school P&C Alisa Burlington also gave a brief report on their activities, fundraising and purchasers for the school made during the year. She also paid tribute to members and helpers of the group and community.
Following the presentations, school captains were announced for 2017. They are Amelia Burlington and William Guilfoyle (captains) and Vivienne George and Orlando McCouat (prefects).
This year’s performance was another outstanding splash of colour and lively activity. The Christmas-themed show dazzled the audience with wonderful costumes and some hilarious moments.
From Santa and his helpers to the lollipop kids, and from the gorgeous fairies to the dancing reindeers there was never a dull moment. It was a fabulous effort from students, staff and parents who put so much time and effort into the show and a great way to end the school year.
