They hosted a presentation by the Central Tablelands Local Land Services of their draft Regional Weed Management Plan.
Richard Carter of the LLS said that the main reasons behind the draft plan was to lay out what are weeds and what to do.
There’s a focus on shared responsibility in weed management on the part of land holders and government authorities.
The Farmers’ concerns related enforcement and making sure all landholders do their part to prevent spread.
The Branch also voted to support, in principal, a Rail Corridor Bike Trail from Kandos to Gulgong.
Ross Mayberry of the Mudgee Bushwalking and Bike Riding Club spoke about the benefits including the injection of money into the region and to towns such as Lue.
The Branch gave their backing on the proviso it has landholders’ support.
They also voted to write to Mid-Western Regional Council to reinstate the Saleyards Management Committee.
