The opportunity came about by getting herself into the industry.
“After meeting the very talented ARIA award winning Nicole Miller; for her feature on Peking Duk’s track 'High', I learnt she was represented by the founder of the Sydney based music blog Purple Sneakers,” she said.
“I decided to email her representation asking for some advice on how to get into the industry thinking 'what the hell, the worst that can happen is that I get no reply'. They did reply and were incredibly helpful and friendly, suggesting that going to a lot of gigs was a great start and that it's important to always remain working with my art.
“A friendship formed and a year down the track I was asked if I would like to feature on a track for Indian Summer; an electronic music producing duo based in Melbourne and represented by Purple Sneakers, I of course said yes and was beyond excited to get started on the recording for 'Been Here Before', lyrics written by Nicole Miller.
“Recording the song was an experience I'll never forget. I have a lot to be thankful for and am stoked about the supportive friendships I have made.”
Eloise said hearing the song was “so exciting and surreal”.
“I've heard the track out a few times and always become a bit chuffed for myself but I am also so happy for the Indian Summer duo, Gabe and Chevy.
“They have built a great rapport with their ever growing fan base, I love all their work and they are a great act to see live.
“When they told me the track was short listed for Triple J hottest 100 I was ecstatic.”
