The Gulgong Junior Showgirl Competition will be held again in 2017, to find two young ambassadors who will work alongside the Gulgong Senior Showgirl, promoting the Gulgong Show, Community and Showgirl movement, and participate in Show and Community events including the Henry Lawson Festival.

All girls aged 8-12 years and 13-17 years can enter the Junior Showgirl Competition. One winner from each age group will be selected to be a Junior Showgirl.
Lisa Byfield, 2016-2017 Senior Gulgong Showgirl, has been assisting with the preparation of the Junior Showgirl Competition this year and said this year we are trying something different for the 2017 Show.
“The changes include the entrant interviews and judging to occur during the week before the Show with the entrants submitting their application form by the closing date of February 10. Once applications have been submitted, interviews will be organised and entrants will receive a date, time and venue for their interview.”
Lisa will be holding a Junior Showgirl information session at Gulgong Public School today - February 3.
