Mudgee Show Society president, Barry Nott said this year, we really got back to how it was in the old days – an agricultural show with rides and even a lumberjack.
“We’ve had a really positive response from the community. The pavilion was just excellent, it’s a great group of people that put that together.”
In Mudgee Show weekend tradition, the rain started in the afternoon, but that didn’t dampen the atmosphere.
“The rain came a little early, so we opened the gates after 3:00pm, so everyone could come in and enjoy the fireworks or go for a ride.
“It was just a great atmosphere for the whole event,” he said.
The rodeo was a huge success with 203 entries on Friday night.
“I’d just like to thank everyone for their support of the event, it’s for the community, so we’re really pleased that everyone enjoyed it.
Next week, the committee will go over the success of this year and will start planning for 2018.
