The Annual art exhibition is on Friday and Saturday (May 5 and 6) at The Stables, featuring unframed plein air landscape paintings by visiting and local artists.
Over 30 artists have been painting in the Mudgee and Gulgong area throughout the week, and this is the opportunity to come and see their work, meet the artists, enjoy the wine and nibbles.
All work is for sale.
The exhibition will be opened by Andrew Gee MP, member for Calare, at 6pm on Friday evening.
The exhibition hours are; Friday 6pm to 10pm and Saturday 9am to 12noon.
On Monday they were at local artist Bruce Kurtz’s property Avondale.
Tuesday it was off to winery Martins Hill, one of the event sponsors, where the scenery included lots of hills and the river as well as the vines.
Wednesday was the historic property of Havalah – between Mudgee and Lue - owned by the White for a number of generations.
Thursday included a visit to the historic town of Gulgong, which offers plenty of quaint cottages and street scenes.
The fruits of their work over the preceding days then goes on display at The Stables on Friday evening and Saturday morning, and for sale for anyone interested in owning a unique piece of scenery from the Mid-Western Region.
