The carnival was a success for the club and the warm autumn weather made for great conditions for both players and spectators.
The Gulgong club has had a successful year to date and winning at their own carnival was always top priority.
Gulgong finished as either runners up or winners of every grade except Juniors which is a great outcome when playing against some extremely strong teams.
The Women’s A Grade final on Sunday afternoon featured Gulgong and top rivals Quirindi in a tight and physical match.
The Gulgong side showed skill and tenacity to defeat the well-known Quirindi team presenting an excellent game of polocrosse for the large number of spectators.
The club player numbers have increased over the past years and it has attracted several top players from other clubs.
President Chris Anderson is confident the club will continue their winning run throughout the season.
"We have so many dedicated players and horse people in our club and we are very lucky to have such talented players.
“We are playing well together and the results to date prove that we are up there with the best.
“Hosting our own carnival is always a big job and you definitely feel the pressure to win, I think we did pretty well against some of the top clubs in the state.
“We would like to thank those clubs who travelled to Gulgong on the weekend and we look forward to attending as many more carnivals as we can this year."
Several Gulgong players will feature at the Toprail Pinnacle event this coming weekend in Cassilis.
The competition will be held in conjunction with the Cassilis carnival and will be a major spectacle for polocrosse fans.
Teams can nominate to play at the event and the line-up includes some of the country's most well-known and revered players.
The Gulgong club would like to wish everyone from their club competing this weekend the best of luck.
As another carnival wraps up for the year the club would like to thank everyone who helped on the weekend and in the lead up with preparing the grounds.
Along with major sponsor the Commercial Hotel in Gulgong.
