The 4.5m, two tonne piece is the largest work in the growing collection of public art.
Any profits generated from the annual Sculptures in the Garden – a not for profit organisation - are donated to Council on the basis that they are matched dollar for dollar and the combined funds are used to purchase sculptures to form part of the sculpture walk or become part of the MWRC’s public art collection.
“Taking the Plunge” became the seventh sculpture purchased under this partnership.
Artists are invited to be part of Sculptures in the Garden 2017, on October 7 and 8, to lodge an entry visit sculpturesinthegarden.com.au
