In the League Tag, the season’s first round will end with a top of the ladder clash this weekend, when the Kandos Tiaratahs host the undefeated Wallerawang Warriettes.
The ladies will be looking to bounce back from their first loss of the year in Round 6 in last year’s grand final rematch against defending premiers CSU Yellow, who leapfrogged the Tiaratahs on the ladder to second with a stronger For-and-Against.
Warriettes have 12 competition points, with CSU Yellow and Kandos both on 10, fourth place CSU Blue are four points back on six.
In Saturday’s men’s match, the two sides aren’t as close on the ladder, with the visiting Warriors also sitting on top undefeated and the Waratahs mired in sixth.
Their lone win coming against Lithgow Bears (36 to 32) in Round 3 at Waratah Park.
