The Mudgee Youth in Agriculture group arrived bright and early to set up their educational site at the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days this morning. Visitors can drop by to plant seeds to take home, snap a photo with a lamb, lasso a tin cow or toss an Akubra.
Later today the MY AG site (number 649) will host a young farmers challenge. The junior competition will kick off at 1pm and the senior at 2.30pm.
The competition will test even the toughest young aggie. Under time pressure challengers will have to set up an electric fence, roll up a swag, tend to a snake bite victim and stack hay bales.
The Mudgee Small Farm Field Days are running all day today and tomorrow.
