The move in 2013 was spruiked as way of making driver’s lives easier and it’s still being trumpeted on rego papers (pictured).
So after close to half a decade has the experiment worked?
In the first 12 months the number of motorists caught driving an unregistered vehicle in NSW increased by 21 per cent (up to 79,408).
So how useful was that sticker on your windscreen as a reminder?
