The Open Days are billed as “a chance for everyone in the community to have a good look around the garden”, which itself is a group-maintained fixture behind the Mudgee Uniting Church on Mortimer Street.
As well as the usual Friday and Saturday meets, there’s also a Kids in the Garden day on alternating Mondays, with a swing set on offer alongside the garden.
The next open day for the community will be on Friday, October 6, with the meet on Saturday, October 7 set for a 9.30am start.
Later in the month there will another open day on Friday, October 20 from 11am, as well as on Saturday, October 21 from 9.30am.
The Saturday open days will host a Wicker Bed Workshop and a Microgreen Workshop, with the dates that these will be on confirmed closer to the date.
As well as these open days, the gardening groups are looking for someone that can sponsor an English Mulberry tree, as the group is hoping to plant an advanced sapling.
Alongside the Mulberry tree sponsorship, the group is also requesting any old pillowcases that can be used in the pest exclusion netting plan for the off-season.
