Weather reporters front up to Hurricane Irma

We’ve all chuuckled at reporters standing “on location” asa Mother Nature all around then. Hurricane Irma in the US was no different.

Journalists were the shock troops who allowed the US to experience the storm from the comfort of their living rooms.

Networks all brought their top teams in on the weekend for special coverage, non-stop on the news channels.

Here’s CNN’s Chris Cumo standing up to Irma’s full force in FLorida.

Peak gusts of 142mph – or 228.5268kph – were recorded.

The Weather Channel tweeted its reporter Mike Bettes struggling to stay upright in the midst of the tempest.
