CWA Evening Branch attended the CWA Castlereagh Group Conference on Monday, September 11 at Mendoran. The branch are one of 13 in the Castlereagh group.

Club member Diana Anderson described the event as a “fun day’where each branch had the opportunity to perform something in the theme colour red”.
“Our girls dressed in red feathers, spangles and hula hula skirts and danced to the music of ‘She wears red feathers and a hula hula skirt’, sang and hula hula’d to the music and huge laughter and applause,” she said.
The unanimous vote was a First Place for Mudgee Evening.
“CWA Evening Branch has had a very successful year, with several well attended events, preparing hundreds of meals for hungry firefighters during the horrendous local bushfires earlier in the year, as well, as catering for all sorts of events from weddings, wakes and small private events,” she said.
The club donated a record amount to local charities of over $20,000 in the previous 12 months.
