From Thursday, October 5 for approximately four months, construction works will be occurring at the front of the facility to deliver a new front entry, reception and waiting area as part of the overall redevelopment project.
These temporary works will change the entry into the MPS, including access to the Emergency Department. The temporary entry during this time will be a new entry near the previous main entrance.
The external entry gate for the Residential Aged Care building has also been moved slightly from its current location, due to the construction zone at the front of the MPS.
Signage will be in place directing patients and visitors to the appropriate entry points.
There may also be some changes to car parking while the construction is occurring near the front of the facility.
Patients and visitors to the MPS are asked to exercise caution around the front public entrance while these temporary works are occurring.
If you have further questions about access or car parking at the Rylstone MPS contact the Rylstone MPS on (02) 6357 8111.
The Rylstone MPS Redevelopment project involves extensions and refurbishment to many areas of the MPS, and the addition of a new staff accommodation building. The scope includes new residential aged care rooms and dining area, refurbished acute rooms and improvements to community health.
The redevelopment is part of a greater $300 million program of works to upgrade existing or build new MPS facilities in a number of rural and remote communities across NSW.
