
About 5pm on Saturday, September 30 police stopped a red ford fairmont on the Golden Highway, Dunedoo after seeing a child in the vehicle not wearing a seat belt.

Police approached the 31 year old female driver from Queensland and discovered she did not have a current licence.
Police also noticed that there were three children in the vehicle between the ages of 12 and 2 years old. None of the children were properly restrained.
A strong smell of cannabis was emanating from the vehicle and a subsequent search located five grams of cannabis in the 12 year old child’s handbag.
The woman run from police before throwing her mobile phone over a high colour bond fence. The chase ended in an arrest.
She was conveyed to Mudgee Police Station where it was discovered she had an outstanding warrant for Driving While Disqualified. She will appear in Coonabarabran Local Court.
