The club has announced the retention of a host of the best juniors in the competition.
Representative centre Jackson Brien headlines the list of Tigers products to ink new deals with the club ahead of next season, while Blake Fitzpatrick, Blake Miller, David Sellers, Luke Christie-Johnston, Nathan Booth, Joe Rich, Blake Ryan and Kane Arriola are all expected to help the club atone for its one-point loss to Orange CYMS in this year’s grand final.
The club has also announced the return of Brenton and Travis Gibson and the re-signing of “adopted locals” Abel Lefaoseu, and Jake Dawe, both instrumental in helping the club to its best season since 1975.
Tigers captain-coach Luke Branighan is just as thrilled with the club’s retention as he is about the impending arrivals of big-name recruits Ben McAlpine, Mickey Hawkings and former NRL-prop Josh Starling.
The club is also hopeful of continuing to retain the rest of the 2017 squad as the black and golds build towards an all-out tilt at the 2018 premiership.
