
Gulgong Gold and Mining Festival will be held this Saturday. As part of the festivities the Gulgong Gold Experience will be open from 9.30am to 4pm. The entry fee will be a gold coin donation, with all proceeds to be donated to Pink Up Gulgong. Another exciting activity on the day will be gem and gold panning assisted by Gulgong Gold Experience volunteers and a gold panning competition to be run by the Central West Prospecting Supplies. Modern gold prospecting technologies will be demonstrated and advice on prospection in the region will be available. There will also be food stalls and various market stalls. Street parade at 10am on Mayne Street ending at Red Hill.

Pink Up Mudgee Community Event will be held this Saturday from 9am to 12pm at St John’s Anglican Church Grounds. Free event, dress code: pink.
Lawson Park Markets will be held this Saturday at Mudgee’s Lawson Park from 8am to 1pm.
Rylstone Artisan and Produce Markets will be held this Saturday at Rylstone Memorial Hall.
Joy concert this Sunday at the Prince of Wales Opera House at 3pm. Five singers will perform a dazzling array of music, from Gilbert and Sullivan to Puccini. The performers are local mezzo sopranos Kathryn Luciano and Judith James, who will be joined by baritone and acclaimed choral director, William Moxey, who has a singing studio in Mudgee. The line up also features soprano Sarah Clark and tenor Michael Butchard who are both from Sydney. Mudgee musician and teacher Gavin Tipping is the pianist. A centre piece of the concert will be Mimi’s aria from La boheme, They call me Mimi, arias and ensembles from The Mikado and music by Mozart. Tickets will be available at the door from 2.30pm and cost $20/$15 concession. The concert will raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Artisan on Lewis current exhibition, Inspired by Myra - a homage – will run until October 29. A highly skilled craftswoman and colourful 1930’s character, Mudgee identity Myra Mogg inspires a range of fibre artists to create a homage to her knitting and stitching skills. Myra produced exquisite examples of needle craft throughout her lifetime of which a selection is now held by Sydney's Powerhouse Museum. The exhibition showcases contemporary textile works, traditional fine knitting and of the era embroidered pieces.
