Big Bad: The Twin Town Players has done it again. They have produced an entertaining musical or a “Howling Courtroom Comedy”, based on the fairy tale, “Little Red Riding Hood”.
A boisterous audience last Friday night became involved in the courtroom scenes, venting their opinion as, “Red”, ”The Pigs” and others, told their tales of woe. Excellent singing, backed by the chorus, entertained the audience. During the play there were video clips enhancing the night. On again next Saturday, November 18, for a seating only matinee starting at 1pm and a night show, with doors opening at 7pm.
Rotary Christmas Party: The much loved Rotary Christmas Carnival is on again at the Rylstone Showground on Saturday, December 9 from 10am to 2pm.
The Carnival will run at similar times to the Rylstone Artisan Markets. “We envisage people going to the Markets and then coming to the Carnival for a steak sandwich and continue through with all the fun of the carnival.” Rotary President Amanda Roach said.
The carnival is a great opportunity for stall holders to set up for the afternoon so people are encouraged to contact Gary Oakes on goa12764@bigpond.net.au for a stall holders form or speak with him on 0458 281 330 for more information.
Holding the carnival in the main street was investigated thoroughly but it is beyond Rotary’s resources to close the street and hold it there. “The decision had to be made to continue to hold the carnival at the showground.” Amanda Roach said. “It is a great venue with lots of space, trees and is very safe for the children.” she said.
