Racegoers are being asked to pull out their finest clothes for the full TAB meeting.
The categories include the best dressed littlie, best dressed gentleman, best hat and best dressed lady.
Organisers have said those entering the contest should show sophisticated style and show an interpretation of the season's fashion directions.
Ladies must wear a hat or head piece to be eligible and it must be appropriate for the spring season.
Gentlemen must wear a suit and tie.
The guest judge for the Fashions on the Field is Lisa Wellings from Sydney, a regular finalist in the Myer Fashions on the Field and featured in the top 10 at the recent Flemington Spring Racing Carnival.
The club has attracted significant sponsorship from local businesses to make it possible.
