Each year, the Appeal aims to make a difference across regional NSW and Queensland by supporting worthwhile community organisations while also passing on generous donations received from members and the general community.

Westfund Mudgee is proud to again support Barnardos Western and this week passed on a $500 donation.

“We’re thrilled to be able to continue to support Mudgee Barnardos this year and we hope this donation helps to spread some joy and hope this holiday season,” Westfund Mudgee regional manager Sarah Willoughby said.

The Barnardos Gifts for Kids Christmas Gift Appeal believes every child deserves to feel joy and happiness during the festive season, and that no child should have to go without. Collecting both cash and physical gifts, Barnardos Gifts for Kids supplies thousands of vulnerable Australian children with toys.

“We invite and encourage the community to donate toys and non-perishable items to be passed onto Barnardos in the weeks leading up to Christmas,” Sarah said.

“Our Christmas Appeal has been such a success within the community for more than 30 years and we love knowing we make a difference for those who face financial hardship, especially at Christmas time.”

All toys and non-perishable food items can be dropped under the Christmas tree at the Westfund Care Centre at 130 Church Street.
