In addition to this, 11 of the 16 kids got to meet with the Sydney Thunder team during its Big Bash match against Adelaide at Spotless Stadium.
"They waved to the crowd after they met the Sydney Thunder players. It's something they'll remember for the rest of their lives."
- Edward George
“It’s something they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. I know I’ll never forget it.” said Milo coordinator Edward George.
George took the field with the kids at the test and T20 match and watched them play 20 minutes of cricket at the SCG before having caps signed by the Sydney Thunder players at night.
“Some of them got to do both and it was a massive day for those kids,” he said.
“They waved to the crowd after they met with the Sydney Thunder players. That was great.”
Milo cricket provides a ‘MILO ‘2CRICKET’ which is in an introduction program aimed at the 7-8 age range, before providing a T20 Blast (shortened version of T20 cricket) to the 8,9 and ten-year-old group.
