Dunedoo Rural Hardware, a family-run business, will go on to represent the region in the 2018 National Awards in February.
Ron attributed the accolade to the efforts of his staff who pride themselves on helping locals.
“We’re only a small team of five employees but we’re all like family here and together we’ve worked extremely hard to evolve the business and support the community as a reliable outlet for general hardware and rural supplies.
“Norma and I are truly humbled by this recognition. After 28 years in business, nothing beats industry recognition such as this for the hard work that comes with small business.
“But at the end of the day it’s our customers who are the ultimate judge of what we do and we’re very thankful to the Dunedoo community for embracing our business with open arms.
The new kitchen, flooring and outdoor display zone that was introduced into the hardware store continues to evolve with seasonal trends and keeps the business in town.
“We’ve been astounded by the response, several Principal kitchens sold in the first two months.
“But right now it’s all about setting up for another big year. In particular, getting set for summer and autumn. Our biggest sellers right now are the Weber BBQ range and outdoor settings for yards of all sizes and budgets.”
