Thousands of people will flood to the Wellington Showground over the weekend to enjoy what has become a prominent event on the town’s calendar.
Wellington Antique Motor Club president, John Edwards, said he and members of the town’s antique car club will attend the fair, as they have done for the past two decades.
They will put on show antique cars of all sorts, from Chevs, to Holdens, Falcons and even an Auburn ‘29 model.
He said it is the ideal weekend for antique enthusiasts.
“It’s displaying our heritage, and there is so much happening for Wellington, it brings so many people to town,” he said.
“It is the perfect weekend for antique enthusiasts.
“People come from everywhere, it is a highly-regarded swap meet.”
The weekend will commence on Saturday, March 3 with the popular street parade from 11am in the town centre.
For people wishing to enter the parade, marshalling starts from 10am in Percy Street.
Vintage cars, bikes, trucks and engines will be on display, along with market stalls, food and live entertainment.
The swap meet will be held on Sunday, March 4 with a day packed with entertainment, activities, old wares, bric-a-brac, parts, swap meet and market stalls, children's rides and reptile display.
