Even though it’s been an action-packed season with events happening at the club and inter-club level, some of the Mudgee juniors still can’t get enough.
A host of them visited the NSW all schools triathlon at Penrith on Wednesday and Thursday and will pick up where they left off at Lawson Park on Sunday.
It’s a great opportunity for people to come with their friends and families to give it a try.
- Ang Fittler
“It will be great to see lots of juniors competing after the Penrith event,” Mudgee publicity officer Ang Fittler said.
Just because the Red Devils are amid an inter-club championship doesn’t mean new competitors can’t turn up on Sunday – even if it’s their first time.
Club races are the best days for newcomers to wet their beaks on the action as less experienced adults have the option to compete in the Simplyfit Supersprint, otherwise known as the short course event.
“It’s a great opportunity for people to come with their friends and families to give it a try,” Fittler said.
“We always like to see new faces.”
