It’s Show time in Mudgee

The 2018 Mudgee Show gets underway Friday, March 2, from 2pm.

Friday’s feature event is once again the rodeo, starting 5pm, which this year welcomes ‘Rooftop Express' – a unique blend of comedy, awe-inspiring horsemanship and stunts.

The family spectacular returns for a one-hour show at 7pm on Saturday.

Among the highlights on day-two will be the interactive Feature Creatures (12-4pm) where you can get up close and personal with wildlife including snakes and crocs.

Along with Tyler, Jada and Logan the Whip Cracking Kids (10.30am) and all the favourites, such as side show alley, rides, horse events, and fireworks (9pm), and more.

Special guest is the inspirational Jamie “Dodge” Manning, rodeo rider turned motivational speaker.

2017 Showgirl Lucy Meers-Hundy

Alysha Papps (main photo) was named Mudgee Showgirl for 2018 and in addition to commencing her duties this weekend, will get to represent the community at home when the Zone 5 Finals are held here next year.

2017 Showgirl Lucy Meers-Hundy competed at the event on February 24, held this year in Singleton.

Both Alysha and Lucy will be judging the Junior Showgirl competition at 11am on Saturday at the Show Society office.
