More than 30,000 agents were assessed, with the top 50 established on residential sales for the 2016 and 2017 financial years.
“It’s been humbling to be recognised as one of the top deal makers in thecountry. I am always proud when my team and I win awards locally, but to have the Mudgee Region be ranked so highly on a national level as a result of our hard work means the world to me,” Mr Woods said.
Mr Woods’ presence in the REB Top 50 Deal Makers list was a great sign the Mudgee market had recovered, he said, and was in a strong position again.
“We’re already seeing house prices in the CBD and other select areas reach record prices. We feel that this is a result of the mines flourishing as well as Sydney-siders discovering the type of lifestyle they can have in the Central West,” he said.
“There’s a massive trend of people leaving stressful metro environments to get ahead and make life more enjoyable and affordable. Mudgee is a top choice because it fuses small town values with strong regional services and foodie culture.”
Mr Woods said he wanted to thank Lucas Sheppard, an REB Top 100 agent in 2013, as well as Jessica Newbigging, Chandelle Newbigging, Adam Sutherland, and Ben Reynolds for their assistance and performance.
“Without their support, I wouldn’t be able to close as many deals as I do,” he said.
