The Food and Drink Trail will be abundant with fresh produce and award-winning drinks, keeping at the forefront of paddock to plate dining.
With over 20 unique venues and experiences to choose from including cellar doors, farms, cafes and a distillery, guests can explore Mudgee region by sampling locally-produced drinks perfectly matched to dishes inspired by the region.
Mudgee Region Tourism CEO Cara George explained the tourism initiative is in its third year.
“Mudgee region is opening its doors and encouraging visitors to meet the producers behind the region’s most sophisticated food and drink offering,” she said.
“We look forward to attracting a strong visitation to the region for the Food and Drink Trail.”
Chairperson of Mudgee Wine Association Jess Chrcek described the Trail as a, ‘huge success in previous years’.

New to this year’s event is a hop on/hop off bus service running throughout the weekend providing unlimited rides from 10am to 5pm each day.
A single day pass is $30 or $50 for a full weekend pass, per person.
Visitors can access the Food and Drink Trail by purchasing Trail and Bus Passes.
Trail Passes are $40 each and contain 5 vouchers, each unlocking one food and drink matching experience.
Each venue releases one or two menu items to fit their ‘experience’ for the event. In 2017, Botobolar’s experience was described as ‘Tacos Fit For The King’ – the menu included ‘Trina’s Taco of slow roasted Mudgee beef infused with chipotle chilies and topped with fresh salsa, complimented by our 2012 ‘The King’ Cabernet Shiraz’.
Trail and Bus Passes are available to purchase at www.visitmudgeeregion.com.au.
The Passes are also available at the Mudgee Visitor Information Centre at 84 Market Street, Mudgee.
