With some confusion about the future of the Rylstone Markets
it was good to see the large array of stalls last Saturday.
Fresh fruit and veggies, the Bush Rock band was there providing great sounds to browse too.
There were Artists knit ware, clothing, paintings and photography, all making stunning colourful displays, enticing shoppers.
Thunder Birds Are Go !
The Cobra Club riders left Sydney on Friday and spent the night at Glen Davis.
Riding BSA, Norton, Matchless, Triumph, Harley Davidson and other vintage marques, the group stopped in Rylstone for lunch.
Heading for Merewether, Broke then Sydney for a four-day ride. Rylstone hosts hundreds of riders each weekend.
Rylstone Street Feast AGM
The hardworking members of the Rylstone Street Feast held their Annual General Meeting last Monday.
Outgoing President Roz Jeffrey thanked everyone for their efforts and talked of the 2017 success, catering for over four hundred diners in Louee St, Rylstone.
There was positive feedback on a great day and menu, with work needed on the sound system.
The election has a new look of office bearers with Andrew Carson as President, Secretary, Toni Turner, Treasurer, James Johnson, Vice President, Peter Monaghan, Committee members Robyn Oakes, Roz Jeffrey and Alana Rankin, with Assistant Committee Members Julie O’Neil and Peter Hatfield.
Rylstone Club Charity Day
On Saturday the public turned out in large numbers to play golf and bowls, to have lots of fun to raise money for various charities.
The players teed off in the morning, enjoyed a BBQ lunch and played bowls all afternoon. The day finished with the Charity Auction and Raffle.
Perfect weather and lots of hits and giggles were the order of the day.
Family groups could be seen spread all over the freshly mown, Rylstone Golf Course.
The Big Raffle was drawn and Peter Mogg won the lawn mower.
Mrs M Turner won the swing seat and Bill Pritchard won the BBQ. This year, the VRA, Hospital Auxiliary and Community, Care and Transport will be the beneficiaries of the Charity Day.
