Paragon fell to Woolpack by seven wickets in the first match after putting up a lowly 86 runs before lunch.
The Hawks were all out after 22 overs and couldn’t find an answer for Shaun Singer (4/12) who took four scalps early, leaving the batting side at 2/11 before it could blink.
Ben Gardiner (29) did all he could for the Hawks before Jeremy Yeo (0) was dismissed for a duck, summing up the day at the crease for Paragon.
15 overs is all Woolpack needed to hunt down the Hawks as Shaun Lumsden (45) did more than half the work on his own from the opening spot in the order.
Rod Cooke (15 not out) followed suit, finishing the job for his squad and giving the Woolpack an early shower.
In the second match, Kelly’s Irish Pub downed Home Decor by two wickets after gunning down the total after lunch.
Home Decor kicked things off with a strong total of 180 that was made possible by a Matt Nutley (53 not out) half century.
Decor soaked up all 40 overs in the first innings and left Kelly’s Irish Pub with plenty to do in the afternoon.
Josh Edwards (53 not out) wound up with an identical score sheet to Matt Nutley as he stood at the crease all day after batting from the opening spot.
Barbarians chipped away for 39 overs before eclipsing the target at the death.
