The winner said her son always gave her the scratchie gift packs for Chirstmas, Mother’s Day and her birthday, and this time she struck it lucky.
“He’s been doing that for years and I struck the jackpot this time!
“I just had a look at them and when I scratched it, I couldn’t believe it!”
“It’s a lovely prize and a real surprise and a thrill,” she said.
The winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased from Dunedoo Newsagency, 46 Bolaro Street, Dunedoo.
Dunedoo Newsagency owner Darron Lane said the outlet was celebrating selling its second ever top-prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“We’re always thrilled to see one of our customers win! The last time we sold a top-prize Instant Scratch-Its ticket was about 10 years ago and that also won $50,000,” he said.
“It’s always great to show people that wins do happen!”
The winner said she already knows exactly how she’ll use her windfall - buying some much-needed items for around the home.
