House Open Day
Last Sunday the Kandos Kids and Carers had an open day to show the public through their new house. An amazing achievement for a dedicated small group of people with support from local industries and dignitaries. The actual opening will be on 23rd April at 12pm.

Rylstone Market Success
Last Saturday the Rylstone Markets had over twenty stalls in and around the Rylstone Memorial Hall. Complimented by the famous Bush Rock band and the Rotary Clubs bacon and eggs rolls the market is attracting new members with six new stalls participating in the near future. President Diana Rutter said, she is very happy with the stalls. The Rylstone Markets have a new constitution allowing new stalls and cheaper rates.
Show Society Debriefing
A Sunday morning tea began the 2018 show debriefing. President Sam Hamilton and Secretary Nancy Keck gave reports stating all positive comments. Treasurer Bob Chrismas surprised himself and other members with a pleasant financial reurn. Approximetely 2000 people visted the show. Chief stewards reported how their section went with the outcome being new seating and sound arrangements and better directions for entrants with dogs and horses. Maps and Facebook information will help with communication. The show AGM in early September could introduce some interesting changes.
BJ’s in Rylstone
Joe and Bec Newham recently moved from the Penrith area and have set up a new business in Louee Street Rylstone, opposite the Police Station. Rebecca (Bec) is teaching at Lue Public School. Joe is a qualified motor mechanic and a level two aircraft maintainance mechanic and a flight instructor. The new shop will sell motorcycle accessories and apparel. Helmets, boots, gloves, jackets for off road and road going riders. Joe will be catering for push bikers as well. Open Thursday to Sunday, Joe will be able to do emergency repairs to cater for the large volume of motorcycles passing through Rylstone each weekend. Still in the process of organising the shop Joe hopes to sell bike tyres in the near future. Joe has extensive motorcycling experience, racing long track, speedway, endures, dirt long track(short circuit) and road racing. He was 1993 Australian Long Track Champion in the 125 class. Joe and Bec still ride on the various bikes they own.
