Member for Bathurst Paul Toole welcomed Jackson Nassis and Jemma Keeley to the hallowed halls of Macquarie Street, saying the school leaders program is a wonderful opportunity for young students to both learn and experience the procedures and processes of democracy in NSW.

“Following spending time at Parliament the students then visited Government House, so overall it was a day which gave each of them a wider perspective on leadership, the workings of government and to meet the people who make Parliament work,” Mr Toole said.

“These students are the leaders of tomorrow and this was an invaluable experience for them. It was great to see their enthusiasm.

“As a part of their educational experiences I am sure each of them will remember this day. Every school should be extremely proud of their young ambassadors and the manner in which they represented not only themselves, but their school and their community.

“It was wonderful to share this time with them and to see their vitality, enthusiasm and embrace of this learning experience through their visit to Parliament House.”
