Last week the United States Consul General Valerie Fowler and her husband Chip visited Gulgong with a special interest in the Prince of Wales Opera House. David Warner and Maurice Gaudry gave them a talk on the history of the building from the gold rush days through to today. Mrs Fowler is obviously very interested in Australian History judging by the questions she asked about the building and the town. After the talk David and Maurice gave them a tour of the building and all the artefacts that are still there. Before leaving Mrs Fowler was presented with a book on the history of the Prince of Wales Opera House.
