The former Mudgee trainer ended two days of racing with three winners when To Excess won Ortensia Stakes on Saturday.
To Excess' win in the Listed sprint followed stablemate In Good Time's victory in the Denise's Joy Stakes at the same level. Bare Naked Lady won Friday's 100,000 Inglis Two-Year-Old Challenge.
Bare Naked Lady started favourite while To Excess ($4.20) was sent out the second elect before beating Le Cordon Bleu by 2-3/4 lengths. In Good Time ($16) was the lesser fancied of the trio, but showed her toughness to beat She Knows ($9.50) by a short neck. In Good Time's record now stands at six wins from six starts with Matthew Cahill.
“She is very good," Bartley said.
“(Retired trainer) Bernie Howlett bred her and sent me a photo and we bought her for $10,000. I think she will go to the paddock and we will look for better races for her next time in.”
