NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian will turn the first sod for the new Mudgee Hospital in July.
“I didn’t need to ask the Premier twice to come to Mudgee for this special event, she accepted on the spot and is really looking forward to it,” Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said.
“This is an exciting time for the Mudgee and wider Mid-Western community and it won’t be too long before you will see action on site.”
Mr Grant confirmed in April that early work on the new $70.2 million Hospital is expected to commence mid-year with construction to be underway by the end of the year.
The Premier and Mr Grant will visit Mudgee for the sod turn ceremony in early July.
More information will be made available closer to time.
The public display of the schematic designs (the general layout, look and feel) wrapped up at the end of last week.
