Gulgong return to the paddock this weekend when they host a potentially rejuvenated Coonamble side in Round 6 of Castlereagh League.

While the Terriers were taking it easy with the bye last Saturday the Bears side registered their first win of the year, a hard-fought victory over the Binnaway Bombshells. Somewhat surprising that it took until Round 5 for last year’s grand finalists to get that victory.

The game at Trangie between the Magpies and the Dunedoo Swans saw the home side bounce back from their last start loss to Cobar to down the Swannies 42 to 20. The Swannettes maintained their share of the league tag competition lead with a comprehensive win that also saw Lucy Guan, Jami Roberts, Annie Christensen, and Gabrielle Lane all scoring doubles.

The Gilgandra survived a first half scare from Cobar to come away with a solid victory in their Boronia Cup clash.
