The Gulgong Prince of Wales Eisteddfod for 2018 is well under way with our Dance section just completed and Speech starting very soon closely followed by Music and our Gala Concert!
The Gulgong Prince of Wales Eisteddfod would like to thank the Mid-Western Regional Council for supporting our Eisteddfod in 2018 through the Events Assistance Program.
Your continued support enables our Eisteddfod Committee to host our Eisteddfod throughout the month of May, showcasing and encouraging the development of young talent in our region and beyond whilst encouraging visitors to our town of Gulgong.
Dance week is over for another year showcasing 1,781 amazing performances, enjoyed throughout the week by 977 audience members. Twelve dance schools participated in our group day and all would not have been possible without our amazing team of volunteers.
Thank you to all who supported our Eisteddfod by watching, participating and volunteering. To the businesses that work alongside us to help make our visitors stay a positive one thank you to B.J's Mobile Photography Mudgee, Cafe Sassy Mobile Dinerand Aussie Country Catering, AC Hire.
Last but not least, thank you to our adjudicator Peta Markham-Ward. We enjoyed your visit this week and are pleased to know you loved visiting Gulgong so much you will be returning soon for a mini break with your family!
The first of our schools days for speech is this on today at the Gulgong Memorial Hall. The community are welcome to attend. Tickets are available at the door. Friday we have kindy from 10am, year one section from 11.15am and year two section from 12.30pm. Cafe Sassy Mobile Dinerwill be there from 10am. GALA CONCERT 2018
Come along to the final show that will be held on Friday, May 25 at 7pm. Following Interval: The Roger Woodward Playoff. The performers are selected by the Music Adjudicator, the winning performance will receive the Roger Woodward Award of $300. The Audience will vote for the winner of the $150 Audience Choice Award.
