Mudgee is forecast to get to a top of 9°C and be cloudy and Gulgong is set to undercut that by one degree with thunderstorms.
With overnight temps of 0 and -1 respectively.
While up at the Nullo Mountain weather station it’s only predicted to get to a “maximum temperature” of 2°C, (the minimum temp will be 1°C, by the way).
According to Weatherzone.com.au a large pool of cold air from the Southern Ocean will surge across southeastern Australia between Friday and Monday, causing a mix of wintry weather in multiple states.
And possibly the coldest weather in a couple of years with widespread and low level snow in southeastern Australia this weekend.
The coldest air will arrive on Saturday and Sunday, allowing snow to fall down to about 600 metres above sea level in parts of Victoria, NSW and the ACT.
Snow could settle on the Dandenong ranges near Melbourne and parts in central western NSW.
Flakes are also possible in the hills around Canberra and on parts of the Blue Mountains and northern ranges in NSW.
While Orange is expecting snow and a top of just four degrees.
