The sensation of traveling away on a hidden country branchline aboard a classic ‘Tin Hare’ railmotor, the diesel engines rumbling away underneath your feet, with the windows open.
Many hopped aboard our historic 1920's "Tin Hare" Railmotors. A CPH Railmotors train came into Rylstone for lunch last Saturday. Named the “Tin Hare”, because they go so fast, the Motorail had one hundred passengers.
Leaving Lithgow, the train trip follows the scenic route to Clandulla and cruises between Kandos and Rylstone at 20 kph. The passengers disembarked and travelled to the Globe Hotel by foot or bus for a hearty lunch.
